Battens are low-cost slats on which the panels are fixed.

It is easy to install them. It is recommended to fix them to the wall using a drill. Drill the batten and the wall at the same time and then fix them with a screw that has the plug incorporated using a hammer. This requires just a few punches and is installed in few seconds.
The advantage of this product is that you can place the panels in any possible way. Vertical, horizontal, half height, diagonal…

An important point is to bear in mind that the batten must always be placed perpendicular to the panels. For example, in a vertical installation of the panels, battens must be installed horizontally, and vice versa.

Once the first one is fixed, the rest of panels are tongue-and groove (tongue of a panel is placed inside the groove of the previous one). One of the advantages of the wall paneling is that it allows lighting to be included in the design of the space. As battens are used in the installation, a space between the panels and wall is created, allowing the redistribution of the electrical elements. Once the places where the light points will be placed have been decided, the holes to install the switches on the panels come be done using a drill and a saw.
